Here Is How the Safety Edge Works
Simply add the Safety Edge standalone server product to a server in each remote location, and the Safety Edge solution stands ready to take over processing during times of central location outage, providing continued processing with near full functionality and identical user panels until connection is re-established with the central processor. All transactions processed through the stand alone backup Safety Edge product, are electronically synchronized with the transactions processed centrally.
The Safety Edge Database will be as current as Yesterday's End of Day
The Safety Edge will download nightly, all changes made to the central system that are necessary to be accessed in stand alone emergency mode. Your remote location will have access to current pricing, promotions, Customer receivables, item, and branch information. Upon restoration of the connection to the central system, all transactions keyed while in the emergency standalone mode, will be uploaded and merged into the central data base.
